Roy Wright
Head – Risk solutions
Roy has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having joined the industry immediately after finishing university. The bulk of his experience has been in the short-term insurance arena. Roy spent a decade at a leading niche insurer, where he held various senior management positions.
After relocating to Cape Town, he jointly established one of the largest independent short-term insurance brokerages in the country. In 2008 he sold this holding in the company and successfully established a specialist underwriting management company. In 2011 Roy assisted in establishing a bespoke short-term insurance brokerage specialising in designing and administering niche products.
Together with GTC, Roy established GTC Risk Solutions in 2016.
Roy spends most of his leisure time in the garden or on the golf course.
